World University Games

The eighteen sport World University Games commence in Germany today. Esther Adeshina, Eiz Maloney and Grace Piper represent GB in tennis. Esther and Eliz are competing in singles and together in doubles. Grace is playing mixed doubles with James Connel. There are numerous world ranked players taking part. Eliz was the flag bearer in last night's opening ceremeny. Neither Esther nor Eliz are scheduled to play today. Their first round draws are as follows:

Eunji Lee (KOR) WR 1068 (CH 1010) v Eliz Maloney WR 1385 (CH 371)

Esther Adeshina WR 635 (CH) v Macarena Vela Vasquez (ECU) No rankings found.

I know there athletics team have to self fund
