It must be a problem on my laptop then - there is no line to scroll down, so no way of doing it. My other half is very good with technology - I'll get her to have a look. And back to the tennis - Katie is now a break up in the second - the rain break looks to have helped.
The poor design of the new WTA website skin means the scroll bar is hidden until you scroll down - it fades everything at the top including the scroll bar. Use the scroll wheel to start with if using a mouse. I'm not sure how you scroll down otherwise, can you do it with the cursor keys?
Sorry Andy, but I disagree about the website. You must be missing a step when doing the filter. It works fine for me, and I use it several times a week. It's still a poor website in many ways though !
I just looked again and when I call up the rankings, it brings up the world ones, then I press filter to get to the GB bit, a box comes up (as in an extra screen) and when I attempt to remove the tick for the world, nothing happens and it also does not allow me to scroll down to get to the UK bit and click on that, as there doesn't seem to be any bit at the side to let me scroll down. I'll have to show this to my other half when she and I get a night together - I know I am a bit technophobic, but it genuinely hasn't worked for me for months. I am using a laptop, so maybe that is making a difference. Anyway, I'm making this thread go off track, so apologies for that.
Doesn't look good for Katie -hope the rain break helps.
It works fine on a phone as far as I can tell, have you tried that - dont need a scroll bar you just sort of flick the page up til you get to UK, tick it and they all come up. I dont use a laptop so much so havent checked it on there but its certainly not a problem an an iPhone.
Thanks for the helpful comments on the WTA site - I didn't mean to hijack this thread, so apologies everyone. I don't own a mobile phone though and now I can get the scroll bar to go down as far as Tanzania, which I guess is quite funny, as it just stops there. If anyone wants to have a laugh, please get a laptop and try - see if you can get beyond Tanzania - I got stopped there on three occasions. I do own a Tanzania football top - so perhaps it is giving me some kind of weird subliminal message. Anyway I must not post any more about this - I'm starting to find it quite funny now.
Katie is playing like she knows she's peaked, and is trying so hard to prove to herself she hasn't. When she went on a blistering run of form and moved from the 100-ish ranking, she played with a breezy confidence and a smile, nothing seemed to phase her.
It's gone, and I think she's got a battle to find herself and ultimately accept that she's probably destined to play for a while at around the 60 to 80 ranking. It must be tough though knowing you're probably never going to get any better and you just have to settle for the level you're now at.
I watched a bit of Venus Williams last night and just felt sad.
I feel similarly with Djokovic who I think will break his body in pursuit of not retiring.
Shocking number of errors from Sonay early on. Can tell she's had a bit of time out, but still, Garcia's got more than a foot and a half already in retirement.
From 0-3 *0-40 she gets a game point, misses it, but holds a few deuces later.
