RE: Weeks 35 & 36 - US Open - Flushing Meadows, New York, NY, USA (hard) - main draw

Jake's match lasted three hours & 24 minutes, the longest of his career, according to the Beeb.  He apparently also had to deal with a heckler!

I thought Jake played pretty well, given his recent performances. And let's face it, if you're not hitting your spots or serving well, RBA is a rough opponent. Well done, Jake!

Wiki seems to have the mens doubles seedings list up, as follows - not sure if Jamie is playing? More importantly, Luke is either not playing OR is with a different partners as Sander Arends is with Andreozzi as 15th seed

Seeds
1. United Kingdom Julian Cash / United Kingdom Lloyd Glasspool
2. El Salvador Marcelo Arévalo / Croatia Mate Pavi
3. Finland Harri Heliövaara / United Kingdom Henry Patten
4. Germany Kevin Krawietz / Germany Tim Pütz
5. Spain Marcel Granollers / Argentina Horacio Zeballos
6. Italy Simone Bolelli / Italy Andrea Vavassori
7. United Kingdom Joe Salisbury / United Kingdom Neal Skupski
8. United States Christian Harrison / United States Evan King
9. Monaco Hugo Nys / France Édouard Roger-Vasselin
10. Argentina Máximo González / Argentina Andrés Molteni
11. Croatia Nikola Mekti / United States Rajeev Ram
12. Portugal Francisco Cabral / Austria Lucas Miedler
13. France Sadio Doumbia / France Fabien Reboul
14. India Yuki Bhambri / New Zealand Michael Venus
15. Argentina Guido Andreozzi / Netherlands Sander Arends
16. Czech Republic Adam Pavlásek / Poland Jan Zieliski

According to the LTA page, Luke is with Ariel Behar

www.lta.org.uk/fan-zone/us-open/news/2025-bri****ch/

the offending **** form the word Brit watch when put together

If Behar and Luke is correct, they say the entry list used was 18th August and they would have had a CR of 76, equal to the 16th seeds but missing out on higher ranked player countback

Jamie is listed by the LTA but has no partner listed against his name

Good win. All the best to Jake. But he doesn't sound in a great place if he is describing his hext natch vs Zverev as one to be coped with.

Real shame

Hate to say it (and apologies to Cam and Jake) but it all seems to be down to Emma now

Clearly totally speculating but I wonder if Jack has overdone some of the physical conditioning work that has certainly had a noticeable effect on his body profile?

Upper arm bruising from heavy lifting?

Oh that is a shame although there have been signs that arm just wasnt quite right. Best to withdraw and recover rather than push on and cause more damage.

Gutted for him, but not surprised, from reading the match report. Poor Jack.
