Clearly totally speculating but I wonder if Jack has overdone some of the physical conditioning work that has certainly had a noticeable effect on his body profile?

Upper arm bruising from heavy lifting?

I dont do bench press, insisted Draper. I'm not training to be Mr Olympia (a bodybuilding title). When people see athletes and they're like, oh, they must have been in the gym. But we're still young, we're still developing and if you don't see us for two months there's going to be development happening.

This is gritty stuff from Cam. He's having to work hard for everything here.

Oh dear, not the best breaker by Cam having just broken to get there. Hope he can refocus and win the 4th set, his opponent seems to have lots of noisy fans in the crowd who got increasingly vocal as he went up in the breaker.

Best of 5 really suits Cam, doesn't it? He can just out last people.

Cam made to work hard for his advancement to the third round.  Couldn't seem to shake off Comesaña even when he had a double break in that fourth set:

L64:  Cameron Norrie WR 35 defeated Francisco Comesaña (ARG) WR 54 by 7-6(5) 6-3 6-7(0) 7-6(4) in four hours

*****

Doubt he's going to get any further, though:

L32:  (7) Novak Djokovic (SRB) WR 7 (CH = 1 more times than I care to remember) vs Cameron Norrie WR 35

Well done Cam - great to see him get a couple of wins here. He and Jake face uphill battles next, hard to see either progressing, but who knows! Its tennis!

What a weird fourth set - double break up, then broken twice and almost a third time. Somehow forced a tie break and then the Argentine made unexpected errors followed by Cam serving two aces to win it.

What a rollercoaster

Ken Skupski's comments quoted in the Beeb's live commentary on the match:

Cameron Norrie has put us through it there, hasn't he! He saved his best two serves of the match for the final two points, which was absolutely essential. He did a fabulous job.

That was great. You just felt like the momentum had shifted back to Francisco Comesana right at the end there, but he just didn't have the answer when he needed it most to push it to five sets.

The victory is all that matters, how you got there is irrelevant. There should be excitement to face Novak Djokovic now.

Really pleased to see Cam made it over the line in 4 sets. He was making a meal of the end of the 4th set when I had to go to bed. Well done!

While it may not have been related to the arm injury, Jack, you've been in the gym quite a lot this last year or so    Just development, ha.
