Not sure what 2026 holds in store for Djoko, maybe it will be his last season? But 2025, he reached 4 slam semis, amassing a 20-4 record and 83.3% win/loss.

And he hardly played anywhere else.
He may not be the best now, but by any standards that is good. Andy only bettered that number of slam wins 3 times in his career, as an example.

I know not many around here like Djoko, I dont, but I do say chapeau to that level of performance .

Youd think anyone else would be pretty happy with that consistency. The problem Novak has now is he is by far and away the 3rd best player in the world. I cant see him getting to 25, hed basically need Carlos or Jannik or both to miss a slam through injury. Perhaps thats what he is hanging around in Hope for!

For the USTA to do this; for Trump to expect this - its feeling very sinister there now.

The land of the free? Mmm.

Well done FAA in getting to the semis - 4 hrs 10 mins for a 4 set win over AdM.

You have to give it to FAA he is very fluid and great to watch but like Indiana says lacks that little bit extra at the top level.

Final about to start. Really looking forward to this.

Hope Carlos is ready to go deep to win this time.

You may be right about Felix at the absolute top level but it was AdM that I was meaning after another Slam QF defeat.

However you look at it , Alcaraz is an amazing talent

Stats aside. Its the variety and excitement in his game, explosive and touch. He seems to combine the best of Nadal and Federer. And hes also got a great persona

Brilliant

No longer in my book until he ditches the sleeveless top & shaven head!  disbelief  Can't bear to look at him any more!  no   Nowhere nearly as bad as David Beckham "uncovered", mind...

From Jon Wertheim in the SI column

Heres a story to follow. Once again, a major was held with no technology on the net, leaving it to the chair umpire to discern whether or not there was a let on a serve. The backstory is tedious and complicated and involves patent disputes and finger-pointing, butdramatic pauseheres the upshot: The majors are deep in discussion to use this as an opportunity to do away with lets entirely and play them out as they do in the juniors. Stay tuned.
