Note - Ive realised with it being a bank holiday, closing it Monday night is unfair as some folks, more than usual, arent around - so the poll will close 11pm Tuesday.

Last month was a battle between Fran and Lloyd/Julian, which Fran came out on top of. Could it be the same this month?

18 votes placed now. Remember, Ive confirmed the vote goes through to Tuesday night to ensure people away this final weekend of the holidays get to vote.

I'm much more a singles rather than a doubles follower and find Lloyd a rather strange character.

But such has been their achievements this month I have gone for Cash & Glasspool

Thanks Indy - I was actually interested to see where you would go with this, per above comments.

You'll also see 9vicman raised a point you have made before about keeping the slam qualies and main draw together so people can assess the full body of work at a slam for a given player.

Reflecting, I agree - I think you had that view as well. It is too late now for this year, but for next year (FO, W and USO events) I will separate out qualies from the other events taking part in the pre slam week and align it with the main draw events - wrt to the US Open Mixed, I will take a view on that nearer the time!!

Further reflecting on my comments from last night re the slam qualies, it also would align them with all the other qualies across the season which are kept together with their respective main events.

Living and learning as we go!!

I do not follow doubles closely and not the juniors either. I cannot keep voting for Fran J so I have gone for Alicia D fo reasons other have already outlined.

Maybe befitting the month, a very low number of votes so far. Not sure Ive managed this month so well, tbh, and its also been a slow month - voting seems well down, certainly slow!

Ill pop a score up this evening and then we count down to tomorrow nights close at 11pm
