Weeks 35 & 36 - US Open - Flushing Meadows, New York, NY, USA (hard) - DOUBLES

All US wildcards - be interesting to see how they go, not a name I recognise in them

L64:  (1) Julian Cash & Lloyd Glasspool CR 3 (2+1) vs Alexander Erler & Robert Galloway (AUT/USA) CR 76 (42+34)
L64:  Jacob Fearnley & Kamil Majchrzak (POL) CR 1122 (232+890) vs Jakob Schnaitter & Mark Wallner (GER/GER) CR 124 (62+62)

L64:  Rafael Matos & Marcelo Melo (BRA/BRA) CR 100 (48+52) vs Ivan Dodig (CRO) & Jamie Murray CR 128 (68+40)

L64:  (3) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 10 (5+5) vs Constantin Frantzen & Robin Haase (GER/NED) CR 152 (69+83)

L64:  Mattia Bellucci & Fabian Marozsan (ITA/HUN) CR 624 (288+336) vs (13) Luke Johnson & Sander Arends (NED) CR 55 (31+24)

L64:  (7) Joe Salisbury & Neal Skupski CR 25 (15+10) vs (WC) George Goldhoff & Reese Stalder (USA/USA) CR 209 (101+108)

Good to see Luke back at last, but he's bound to be rusty after his long lay-off.   Only Joe & Neal are in the bottom half of the draw.

Goldhoff & Stalder are not exactly unknown to regular followers of the doubles results at Challenge level - though wolf has a habit of misspelling Stalder's name...  wink  I believe he may even had played occasionally with one of our lads, though I can't remember whom.

And Marcus Willis is in the house! He has an alt with Drzewiecki (new name to name) of Poland and they play Ebden and Thompson today.

Good luck Marcus and well done

One half of the defending champs against them and a decent and well experienced pair. Wont be anywhere near easy!
