Hannah must be close to securing the No. 1 ranking...
Yes, though Julieta (the current #1) didn't score any points at the US Open juniors last year so she's not losing any (although she's not getting any net new ones, as she has 300s as her current lowest scorers anyway)
Haven't done the calculations though, for if Hannah were to win, say
Hannah is currently set to be World No. 2 I think never mind who wins singles or doubles just behind Pareja. If she beats Vandromme in the SF she will be World No. 1.
Personally I think Jeline is playing percentage tennis. The first set Hannah went for everything and took the UEs and lost the set. Now double faults arent helping, needs to tighten it up. You really feel Hannah has the bigger game but just cant execute today. Lets hope things change soon.
Mika is well on top so far against Lea, who is error-prone, so Mika takes the first set 6-0
Hannah ended up losing 3-6 2-6 against a strong in-form opponent
She just needed to be a tiny bit more clinical on the key break points in set 1 - the level of tennis between the two was very similar - and I think that's age
It was her best performance by far, IMO
Jeline played some cracking tennis - forehands that was SO heavy, Hannah was being bombarded
A lot more positives in that match than in some of the dodgy wins she's has before
Lea has gained in confidence from Mika's erratic play and takes the second set 6-1. Mika needs to impose herself at the start of set 3 as in set 1 - the match is on her racket
