Looks like weather is still wet in Seoul. Out with the towels trying to get the court dry now.

Emma 1-1 after 24 points! Including saving four BP to hold in first game. Could be a long match

Emma is generally very good at saving BPs. I understand she was a leader for WTA tour % BPs saved earlier in in the year.

I'd prefer her not to be facing BPs though!

Good stuff. Emma is now 13 wins, 6 losses against players ranked 11 to 50 this year ( pretty good for a player starting the year WR 60 and still outside the top 30 ).

Unfortunately she's often come up against top 10 players this year, halting her in her tracks, and is 1 win, 9 losses against them.

So overall is 14 wins, 15 losses against top 50 players. Hopefully she can make that 15 / 15 by beating Krejcikova.

Very emotional first set. Not quite sure why.

In the first set when she was fighting for 3-3. At the beginning of the match she was pointing to her racquet strings and Roig to do something. Not sure what. Mentioned in the Beeb report as well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/articles/c203np7wnyvo

Maybe the emotions of missing the BJK Cup and letting the team down hit her a little bit. Self induced pressure, maybe, but pressure nonetheless and Im sure she didnt step back from it easily

I strongly doubt that is the reason but very generous of you to suggest she gives a toss. Suspect it was just a bit of tension, frustration, unhappiness with her string tension etc...

I'm trying to work out what people are meaning by these comments. Is the sarcasm an attempt at irony, or are the comments just nasty. I'm not sure.
