Harriet takes the first 6-1.

If she continues, this will be technically the biggest title of her career (3 x 25ks previously).

Harriet has always 'played up', which has been a good thing in many ways, but I think at this point a few great results at ITF level would be a great idea - see if she can snag a 50 or 75k title to add to her accomplishments.

Great! I decided to spend time in the Garden rather than watch the score tick over and that's done the trick

Well done Harriet. Think it will do her the world of good to drop down for an extended time t9 ge5 wins and gain confidence and then kick on in 2026.

Unfortunately it is only one week, as she is in the WTA125 in Turkey for week 40. She has drawn a qualifier though, and the seeds are rabked from 127 to 165, so not particularly strong.

Or maybe fortunately

I don't really support the dropping down argument, not for an extended number of tournaments

She's done one, and won. That's great.

Now time to translate that into the lower end of the bigger events

If she loses in R1, that's a shame. But I don't want to see her chugging through another W35, and then another.
