Well done, Liam. With last week and this week, presumably Liam will be in the top 500, next release?
Yes, he is already live ranked 488 for 'Monday' ( whenever it is actually issued ) with last week's RU. Provisionally looking about 460 in the post Shanghai Masters rankings just based on final points here.

Well better inside than outside the top 500 but excellent? - hmm. For me, it is pretty sad to see him at this level at all, though credit I guess that he keeps going, presumably still wanting to be out there competing.
I wonder what he's most missing nowadays compared with his much better times?

Excellent not meaning the achievement is excellent, more that it is excellent to see him going back up - it wont be excellent until he is a couple of hkindred places higher!
He is still only 31 yo which is what leaves me so puzzled as to whether it is say some past injuries restricting him or he's for a while now just 'lost it'?
But hey, for now yes, keep on winning mate. Be great to see him truly climbing back up the rankings, with yes that being well beyond the 400s.

So, 2 years ago to the day pretty much, he was top 100. The world seemed to be his oyster.
I am sure he was injured not soon after that, he didnt play the 2024 AO and FO events, didnt make another final at any level until 2025. 2024 was effectively a write off. The fact he is still playing suggests he has the desire to get back and presumably thinks he has the game. Whether getting back to anywhere near top 100 is possible, I can't imagine it - but maybe to the level where he is fighting for slam qualies later next season?
I hoped the same for Kyle of course, a couple of false dawns with M25 titles, and it never happened. Hope Liam has better luck.
