Ooh I thought Mimi had that match but well done Mika for grit and perseverance. Anyway Mimi reached the final of the doubles with her Czech partner, sweeping aside Marni et al 6-1,6-1.

Very good from Mika.

Beat 3 top 500 players on the way to the Tunisia W35 final 2 weeks ago. Upgraded her wins this week to rather more battling but beating 2 top 400 players and Marni top 300. Well less battle in the third sets, which she has won to 2, 2 and 0.

Mika herself, with 103 points so far, has almost certainly already ensured that she will be into the top 500 on Monday week.

And Mimi takes the doubles championship with her Czech partner. Good week for the younger players, and Mika isnt finished yet! Will be interesting to follow them, in Wrexham.

Both big servers, but Kuzmova serve is very inconsistent.
