Week 43 - ITF M25 - Sheffield, Great Britain (indoor hard)

That 1st set was a surprise. Anton takes it 6-1.
Maybe Hamish will wake up in the 2nd or is Anton reaping the benefits of all those clay tournaments.
I'm still not sure if that was a training decision or injury decision.

It's interesting. I thought a training / development thing when he first was playing more on clay.

But time moves on and he has played so much on clay over the last 2 years, with being kind mixed results, yet last October on indoor hard back in the UK he won the Edgbaston M25 title and was RU in the Glssgow M25. And here he goes again this year??

After the 2nd set I thought it would all go Hamish's way, glad to see I was wrong.

Good week for Wales with James here and Mimi in Wrexham. James has an M15 to his name but no M25.

The two dont seem to have played before at ITF level, maybe they have domestically?

Good stuff

Is he the best Welsh player we've had on the men's side since Josh Milton? I can't remember another getting as high since.

 Evan Hoyt would probably disagree

OF COURSE! Shame he suffered so many injuries.

James won the first set 6-2, seems to be in control at the moment.
