Week 43 - ATP Challenger 100 - MarketBeat Open - Sioux Falls, SD, USA (indoor hard)

JoMo is so far doing a good job of defending those 4 succesive weeks totalling 97 points from last year, ie. (3 x 25) + 22

Last week he earned 22 points. This week that's precisely 25 so far. Reaching the final would be 50 points.

The top seed, Jordan Thompson, or Mats Rosenkranz in the semi.

SF:  Mats Rosenkranz (GER) WR 300 (= CH) vs Johannus Monday WR 238

Thompson retired at 5-7 0-1...

With that ( and assuming Evos wrist mends) we have JoMo in live ranked 234 - one more win for him tonight and we have 10 sitting in AO qualies places - realising JoMo has more points to cover to stay there but as Indy pointed out, hes doing a good job at it so far!

Yes, going to quite a crew at Aus Open Q.

There's a discussion in the Wrexham thread in the women's section about our potential women in Aus Open Q. And while there is a super charge going on from lower down the rankings ( and evidently going to be CHs upon CHs ), and I accept that quite a lot in theory could get there, I have said that I think 4 would be good from them, given how they all still stand just now. For many their time will come later.

Mike C says this will be JoMo's first challenger final - really pleased for him

Remember - JoMo never ever even got ranked in juniors - only ever played one event and lost in qualis !

Yes, 50 points for the final here will be his best ever points score. 100 points for the titie would of course put bells on!

Now showing as live ranked 212 against his CH 216.

He really is doing rather well at this defending points business!

Solid.  I was able to watch the end of the first and the beginning of the second and JoMo looked noticeably better so the outcome was no surprise

All but one of Jomos finals at ITF level have been in the USA, and he hasnt been in any singles final at ITF level in 7 months.

He has a challenger doubles title to his name earlier this month from Lincoln, Illinois, one of there at challenger level. But no singles final or title as pointed out above

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannus_Monday

Jomos biggest match of his career this evening, perhaps?
