Canada are the weakest in the group

So, hopefully, we'll have a nice 2-0 lead here after the singles (and Edie can get a match )

Hollie lost (again)
So we rely on the doubles to see who wins.

Hollie and Megan combine together against Andrea Cabio and Laurence Demers and are warming up for their match.

Hollie and Megan see out the win 6-1 7-6(4) though they were up 5-3 in the second set. France lead Australia 2-0, winning both singles in straight sets, so France (who we play tomorrow) and GBR make the quarter-finals. Tomorrow's match decides who will be seeded.

Knight/Smart beat Cabio/Demers 6-1 7-6(4)

Megan won her singles 3 and 3, Hollie is a set down in hers.

Out of interest, I realise Hollie is number one as she is ranked higher in the Under 18 girls world rankings (presume that is why?) but who is actually the better player of Megan and Hollie?

Hollie lost 6-3 7-5 which was a decent score against a top player so it does depend on the doubles which is about to start. Both nations field their two singles players.

It all ended exactly as expected at the start of the week
