Tough choice for a big group of Brits.

Australian Open qualifying or a Challenger in Glasgow in January

Week 4 26/1 M25 Glasgow / W35 Birmingham
Week 5 2/2 M25 / W35 Sheffield

Note the W35 Sheffield is shown as being in Birmingham on the ITF calendar so either the name of the tournament is wrong or it's location is wrong.

LTA calendar updated till the end of Wimbledon. Usual late April/May ITF tournaments and then the usual pre Wimbledon tournaments.

There is a thing referred to as the Hotel Planner Tour as opposed to the Lexus British Tour - not sure if Hotel Planner is the premier tier events on the British Tour or a separate tour of events?

Formerly the Progress Tour. Can any kind soul tell me what the difference is between The Hotel Planner/Progress Tour and the regular British Tour events?

Others will help you better but the biggest difference - to me - is that the regular British Tour events are organised by the LTA - whereas the Progress Tour (now HotelPlanner) is independent / private

The new sponsorship deal info is here:

https://hotelplannertennistour.com/progress-tour-rebrands-as-hotelplanner-tour-under-new-sponsorship/

And Progress Tour gives UTR points and is based off UTR, not LTA rankings / ratings, and has a lot more money, I believe

Despite the change in name the HPTT, aka progress tour still hasn't learnt anything about fan engagement and making draws or results public. For once there is an excellent womens entry list with no way to know what's going on.

The womens entries include Katy D, Vic, Indi, Esther, Freya and Grace Piper.
Full entry list at https://hotelplannertennistour.com/tournaments/the-shootout-series-at-cardiff-met-tennis-centre-january-3/
