Thanks. The main draws weren't out when I looked last night. I'll have a look shortly. Mimi was the only Brit on the acceptance list.

Cant say I am as optimistic. Maybe about 50 points awry of reaching the top 220, but nearly all the players above Mimi are currently playing tournaments so needs a lot of results from others to go her way to stand a chance this year.

No, I'm not optimistic either. If she gets through the first round she would probably play the top seed Costoulas WR150 next. And there are seven others in the draw above Mimi that are all looking for points, four in the top 220 and four just outside.

A slight wobble in set 2, being 5-3 up and also 5*-0 in the tiebreak, but got there in the end.

Agree David c. Better in the tiebreak. You could tell she was relieved at the end. No pressure in the nexx round if the number 1 seed gets through.

Mimi's been a bit up and down of late. Looks like a match that will need her right up again.

Maybe a bit harsh Indy? Granted she had a bad day at the office in Slovakia last week, but since turning 18 in October, she has played four tournaments. Won 1, QFs in 2 and first round exit in the fourth. That seems pretty steady going to me TBH.

Her losses in the last two tournaments were against players who are currently ranked 292 and 242. Granted she lost badly last week, but she's competing with higher ranked players now, so her level looks to be there.

This looks like a match where Mimi needs to concentrate on executing her own game and see how that works against an opponent who is a step
up from her current level. Then she can take that into her next training block. If she does that then the outcome is immaterial

Well Mimi lost the first set 6-2, but has now lifted her game and taken the second 6-3. All to play for now and nothing to lose in the third.
