Reading the above from Jon means I must comment.......I voted for Avon Ladies Winter County Cup. As mentioned in nomination, definitely a win for the underdogs in the county system, and a fantastic team effort!

I would have liked to have known the names of the squad. Whilst a good result, I can't really relate to it.

The main six Avon players were: Isabella Britton, Nehir Tuna, Jessica Gunter, Alice Zelley, Hannah Davies and Eleanor Nobbs. The closest match for Avon was against Kent who fielded Alice Gillan and Lois Newberry.

@JohH_comes_home, just a note about mechanics of the vote webpage. In my browser the page takes ages to completely load, I'm guessing it's polling the voting status too frequently. It maybe caused my browser to lock up at least once. Other pages on the site load completely in a much shorter time.

Hi Foobarbaz - I am afraid I have no idea how that works and dont control the mechanics of it. I just post a poll but dont refresh it or change it once it is up and running. I know it can cause problems, for example some folks cant see the bars against the score for each person, I cant (but used to be able to)

Beyond that I am afraid I have no other insights into how it works - it is quite basic and limited (ie there is only one way of doing a poll!), but whether anyone else has issues, I dont know - for me it loads quite nicely at the moment apart for that bar point above

7 hours left - maybe looking at an evening deluge of votes!

Dont leave it too late folks - second place is certainly up for grabs and a place in player of the season. And maybe even a run on top spot as well

The votes for this season have ranged from 34 to 45 and averaged 38.1, so we are above the lowest and in the range now. A few more before 9.40pm would be very welcome - not least because second place qualifies for Player of the Season and there is just one vote in that.

If we have a tie for top place, we have a vote off - that feels unlikely.

If we get a tie for second, we leave it there and call that a tie and both players would get into player of the season. Henry is, of course, already qualified for PoS. Toby and Katie are not and are fighting in the last chance saloon!
