The Orange Bowl is the final J500 event of the year. Allegra Korpanec Davies and Hollie Smart should be in the main draw, out tonight. Ophelia Korpanec Davies and Athina Schlepphorst lost in qualifying.
There is also an under 16 event, and Clarice Ouvarova is seeded in that. Most of the entry is American, but the top seed is a 14 year old Ukrainian ranked inside the junior top 100
Carrie-Anne did well to make that J300 final, although her opponents were not the best and she hasn't done anything at all in adults
If Hollie gets past Janae, she has a very good chance against Jauffret (whom I don't really rate - and was one of those who Carrie-Anne beat) and the Canadian seed, Lagaev, who has a truly irritating sort of game.
But Janae made two SFs in her first two adult events recently, and has been playing well in the last few months.
