April Sackflame has drawn top seed Ciara Moore in this Loughborough event

Grace Watson also plays

Shame that Grace has drawn Milica, not what the coaches would have wanted, I assume

April crushed Ciara 2 and 2. That feels like a big result?

Grace beat Milica in two close sets.

Semis are set:

Men

Ben G-W (1) v Raffaello Papajcik (5)
Sam Reeve (8) v Alex Solonenko

Women

Sofia Maine v Isabella Wong (4)
Katie Randall v Annabel Wong (9)

An all Wong final, perhaps?

The two sisters get through and it is an Isabella versus Annabel Wong final. May the best sister on the day win!

 Are you sure they're sisters?

I don't think so ..... one's from London and the other from Stockport, I think

Seriously - being honest I assumed! Also because their first names - Isabella and Annabel - seem like the types of names youd give sisters; similar sort of names etc. so I put two and two together!

In which case, best of luck to both and their families - and lucky you spotted it and I didnt nominate Family Wong alongside Family Lumsden for the PoM!

And the 4th seeded Isabella takes the final - not sure if she is the London or Stockport player, but well done to her.

 Isabella is the London, girl

Born 2007 (whereas Annabel is three years younger, born 2010)

Isabella is off the California, to UC Santa Barbara (and just got her first two counters in adults in the last month)

It sounds as though she's got good academics too as she was well sought after:

"Recruited heavily by top programs, including Harvard, Columbia, San Diego, USC, Vanderbilt, and Illinois, Wong chose UC Santa Barbara for its "balance of academics, tennis, and student life. The team has a healthy and happy environment that gives student athletes, a great opportunity to pursue their goals after their time at UC Santa Barbara. Lastly, being surrounded and supported by people who are each individually driven is extremely motivating."

Thanks CD, good background!

In the mens, Raffaello Papacjik won the final 1 and 1. With a win over Ben G-W earlier in the event, a good week for him.

I have feeling he may be a college player over on the US scene?
