Hi Nessa - firstly, welcome to the board, assuming you are genuine!

Its not that anyone was trying to be unfriendly. We have been burnt in the past by scammers and people are rightly very cautious. We also dont tend to use the PM tool very often, in my experience. I have maybe 3 or 4 people I have messaged over several years and maybe 20 messages over that time.

Most people who come here are followers of British tennis and that is our common bond. I guess its fair to say, most people who join the board start getting involved by posting the odd post on the board itself and gradually get involved. We dont tend to get PMs at all and if we get one off a complete stranger to us, it inevitably raises caution.

If you genuinely would like to be part of the board, that is great and we welcome you - but advise would be to post first and maybe as and when you get to know someone a little send a PM. If someone recognises you, they may be receptive but a stranger posting will a PM will cause the reaction you got.

Id probably lay off tje PMs for now, is my advice, and feel free to get involved in the board as you feel you can and you will be welcomed.

Yeah, I understand and thats what exactly I was trying to do but I dont know if theres a restricted rule on trading content. And I havent come across anyone with it thats why Im still waiting. But thanks for the advice.

It was very strange that a bright lady would not hsve understood that quite likely reaction from the start without Jon's post to help her along.
