So thinking through further and looking at where we are with October Pom nominations (ie that none of the contenders are already qualified for PoS) it is apparent we are going to land on a much higher number of qualified players eg 27 or 28, than we normally do.

As such and to make life easier when it comes to knowing where we are going with wildcards, I am going to finalise on a 32 player PoS field as confirmed, the wild card number will top up to 32 from wherever we land after December PoM.

So - an expanded field of 32 it is. 4 groups of 8, down to 2 groups of 6 and then 1 final group of 4.
