Dang - Alfie lost his semi to de la Puente 4 and 4, which is a real shame. Hed beaten the Spaniard prior to the Open and I hoped he would win this one, not to be. Oda awaits De la Puente in the final

The draw is out - Alfie and Gordon as one and three seeds both get byes to the last 8; they are top seeds in doubles and also get a bye there, to the semis.
Lucy is playing Deirde De Groot in the womens last 8, and is also in the doubles with Griffioen.
Alfie, Gordon and Lucy all play singles today in Rotterdam. There is a special wheelchair arena and Lucy and Gordon also play on court one alongside the main tour event.
The ITF had announced a stronger integration of wheelchair events to the main ATP and WTA tour - looking at the schedules for the year, apart from one or two events like Miami, this doesnt appear to have happened.
One or two more 1000 level - old Super Series - are created though. British Open at Roehampton is a 1000 level event, Barcelona also. I may be misremembering their status last year though. But think they are upgraded
The World Team Cup is being played in the US this season, straight after the US Open. This may encourage more of the bigger names to stay on and play. Not sure of venue yet.
