ITF Wheelchair Tennis Tour 2026

Dang - Alfie lost his semi to de la Puente 4 and 4, which is a real shame. Hed beaten the Spaniard prior to the Open and I hoped he would win this one, not to be. Oda awaits De la Puente in the final

Andy Lapthorne and Heath Davidson also lost the quad doubles final in 2 sets to Sasson and Vink.

We have a winner, in the boys doubles:

Lucas John De Gouveai and his German partner beat Matthew Knoesen and his Aussie partner to win the wheelchair boys doubles title.

Congrats to Lucas John

And both upsets as Diede De Groot returns to a slam final, unseeded, to play Chinese third seed, Li.

The next big event is the ABN Amro event in Rotterdam, a 500 level event (like the ATP)

The mens is a 12 man draw, Alfie and Gordon both play

There is also a 8 player womens event, with Lucy playing

The draw is out - Alfie and Gordon as one and three seeds both get byes to the last 8; they are top seeds in doubles and also get a bye there, to the semis.

Lucy is playing Deirde De Groot in the womens last 8, and is also in the doubles with Griffioen.

Alfie, Gordon and Lucy all play singles today in Rotterdam. There is a special wheelchair arena and Lucy and Gordon also play on court one alongside the main tour event.

The ITF had announced a stronger integration of wheelchair events to the main ATP and WTA tour - looking at the schedules for the year, apart from one or two events like Miami, this doesnt appear to have happened.

One or two more 1000 level - old Super Series - are created though. British Open at Roehampton is a 1000 level event, Barcelona also. I may be misremembering their status last year though. But think they are upgraded

The World Team Cup is being played in the US this season, straight after the US Open. This may encourage more of the bigger names to stay on and play. Not sure of venue yet.

Alfie and Gordon both won their openers today in straight sets; Alfie beat Miki of Japan, Gordon beat Lysov of Israel.

In the semis, Alfie plays Houdet of France, Gordon plays de la puente of Spain.

Lucy lost her singles opener.

All 3 still in doubles with play yet to start in that for the Brits

Great result for Gordon Reid as he upsets second seeded de la Puente in the Rotterdam semi in straight sets.

So we have an all British final between Gordon and Alfie at the weekend. Well done, lads

Alfie took the singles title with a 1 and 1 win over Gordon.

Time to build his form back now for summer slams
