In Bolton, Abbie Breakwell and Dahnon Ward reach the singles semis; Abbie is also in the womens doubles final, where she plays Cornelia. In mens doubles, Andrew Penney is in the final.

In Rotterdam, Alfie and Gordon win the doubles title with room to spare, a great week for both.

In the very tight rankings, Alfie and Gordon return to the top of the doubles list after their title in Rotterdam. Hopefully this is the springboard to an upturn in results after a less than usually top notch back half to last year and start of this.

Great stuff from Dahnon Ward as he makes the Bolton 100 final. Unseeded. Its a couple of years since he won a title and this is a bigger event. Ranked 43, itll boost his ranking for sure .

Fabulous title for Dahnon Ward this past week in Bolton. In the first of two back to back indoor events, this first one is a $14k event (100 points) and next week is $22k (175 points); so this is like an M15 and next week like an M25 - ish.

Anyway, unseeded Dahnon has taken the title - he won the final 6-0 7-5 over Anderson Parker, seeded 2nd.

His week as a whole has been amazing. Ranked 43 coming in, he beat fellow Brit Joshua Johns, 7th seed (WR29) Charrier, 32nd ranked Israeli Berdichevsky, WR42 Cooper of the USA, and then 2nd seeded Anderson Parker of Australia, WR 21 for what looks like his best title in a number of years, if not his best ever (tournie rating system has changed recently so hard to tell)

Andrew Penney and Abbie Breakwell both did well and took the respective mens and womens doubles titles in Bolton 100.

In the Bolton 175 event:

Men's singles - Ben Bartram beat last weeks 100 level winner, Dahnon Ward, in straight sets and progresses to the last 8. He is the only British mens singles player in the last 8, with Joshua Johns losing

Womens singles - Abbie Breakwell reaches the last 8; Cornelia Oosthuizen was upset and went out, and Lucy Shuker is currently a set up but in a tight second set

Quad singles - already at the last 8 stage and Greg Slade, top seed, is a set and 3-1 up

Lucy Shuker fell away and lost and so in singles we have left:

Mens - Ben Bartram plays Anderson Parker in the last 8; Ben sports a 2-0 head to head and Parker lost the final earlier this week to Dahnon, so Ben goes in as favourite

Womens - Abbie Breakwell. Seeded 8th she plays 4th seeded Israeli Zukri, in the last 8, but she beat the Israeli in straight sets earlier this week in the 100 level event and must go into it with confidence

Quad - Greg Slade in to the semis and plays unseeded Perez.

All 3 players have a decent shout at progressing further

Ben B won a 3 set battle over Parker to move into the semis here in Bolton.

Abbie B also won her semi against the Israeli 4th seed, repeated her win of last week. But a good win, nonetheless.

In the semis, though, both play respective top seeds - Ben plays Egberink of NL, and Abbie plays Bernal of Colombia
