There are currently 6 1000 level events on the calendar. Melbourne Open came in January, and after the Baton Rouge, we have Japan Open, BarcelonaOpen, British Open at Roehampton and the French Riviera Open in Biot.

These 6 are in addition to the 4 grand slam events. There are also a number of bigger money 500 level events in Rotterdam, Miami, Rome (Italy) , for example, with limited fields alongside the bigger ATP /WTA events where the fields are typically 8 or 12 strong (hence the lower points level) but the money bigger (typically more like $70k events for 8 players versus the $45k on offer at the 1000 events).

The money at the slams is $500k up to $1.5m at the US Open, making those the big pay days of the sport. Its all about making the 16 player slam fields in each event.
