Week 37 - Davis Cup Qualifiers, Round 2: Great Britain vs Ecuador (indoor hard)

Cam has withdrawn injured. Replaced by Harry W

That's a shame.  He sounded as though he was really looking forward to the tie, his first in London, in this LTA report, posted yesterday.  Great opportunity for Harry, though.

This Beeb report was posted four days ago, so is well & truly out of date as far as the make-up of the team is concerned (LTA confirmation here), but focuses on Toby's thoughts on his debut.

Coverage of the tie will be available on BBC iPlayer.

I mean, I know it's Davis Cup and all the pressure it brings but if we don't win this...

What's the point of the BBC having the rights to show Davis Cup when they seem to be going out of their way to bury it? My broadband isn't good enough for me to use the iPlayer, they've got nothing but useless crap like Homes under the Hammer on BBC1, a load of waffle on 5 Live, and not even text commentary on the BBC Sport website.

And quite obviously, Toby is 4-0 down early doors.

Make that 4-6 6-4 *2-0.  smile  First set probably just debutant's nerves.  Can't blame the lad for that.
