For me it comes down to Fran or Henry. I voted for both in round one and it is still these two who catch my eye.

Fran for me is like Sonay - Id love to vote for her but think she will get many votes and feel Henry needs my vote more. He won the AO plus Tour Finals and is my favourite Brit and I think winning a slam in the main events at a slam deserves the kudos.

I went for Mimi. Although I could have gone for Fran as well. Tough.

Fran's move into the top 100 capped a very successful year for her.

I know Fran would hate to be defined by the fact that she only has a total of seven fingers in both hands, but it is relevant I think - if someone told you this about a player, you would assume that they would have no chance of being a good amateur, let alone a top professional. I think it does lead to Fran being more susceptible to injuries, but what an iron will and determination she has and she never uses it as an excuse, when she breaks down in matches.

It will be interesting to see if she can progress further - today she beat a top 16 ranked player and for me, she gets my vote in this poll. I would also say though that Mimi's rise through the rankings has been pretty impressive and it will be interesting to see if she can sustain her improvement now that she has the ranking to enter better tournaments and face a higher calibre of opponent.

Fran for me though, no question.

I voted for Alicia for her consistent rise through the rankings. But there were so many other worthy candidates here so it was a hard choice.

I have no idea how I am going to choose between Ms Xu, Ms Jones and Ms Stojsavljevic.

Between Fran, Mimi and Mika, I would go for Fran or Mika. I very much doubt Fran will need my vote so I vote for Mika. I like Henry and another great year with Harri, but these women singles players were who really impacted me over the year from this SF.

As I said re Mika in her initial group thread ;

"From WR 676 at the end of 2024, she ended 2025 as singles WR 294 and GB # 11. She won a Birmingham W35 title but really shone in 2 W100s ( RU in Wrexham and SF in Dubai ). Ended #6 world U18 but having just turned 17 there are no players younger than her ranked higher. Rose to WR 460 in doubles, winning a Minastir W35 title. In juniors she reached the SF of the US Open."

What a year for her. Vote Mika !

Thanks all whove voted so far - 21 in each group. Both groups have a surprise or two for me at the moment, intrigued to see where it all lands! Long way to go!

Oof, this is tough! I've gone for Alicia because it's always great to see a player make that kind of breakthrough when it's not entirely expected. Everyone else has done really great things but I feel it's less of a surprise than Alicia's achievements. Alicia was one of the players who's name kept popping up when I wasn't very familiar with her and had me noticing over and over that she was doing good things again.

Interesting - Mimi beat Alicia reasonably comfortably in the groups. But Alicia is well ahead here!

I went for Fran just because reaching the top 75 given all the adversity she's faced is such a remarkable and incredible story, which I don't think has got the national attention it deserves (that will surely change if she wins a match or two in a slam this year). One of the most inspiring athletes in any sport.

FWIW Fran appeared in the 2020 PoS final. but not since, despite winning 7 PoM titles, more than anyone.

Sonay was in 2024 and 2022 final, and has 6 PoM titles, the second most ever.

Julian also appears in a PoS final in 2022, with Henry.

Henry was in 2024 final as well as 2022.

Joe has won two PoS titles
