Already 19 votes in and it couldn't be tighter at the top.

There's one nomination that is a country mile ahead of the other 3.
That is Liss.

To have turned around her form from a dismal year in 2024 to have a superb college season, having the mental resilence to hold the team together when it would be easy to let the struggles and difficulties they were encountering get to her and then to transition to Pro tennis which she has hardly played in recent years to become the highest ranked of all our recent female college graduates winning multiple titles beats anything the others have achieved in my book.

Fran deserves a very honourable mention to have improved her ranking 79 places and into the top 100.
Sonay has done well to consolidate her position in the top 100 but nothing more.

This is so difficult but in the end I voted for Fran. Reaching the top 100 is a great achievement for anyone but especially for her, given how much she has had to contend with.

Sonay and Fran are my two favourite players and having to choose between them is like having to choose a favourite child!!! I think I'll have to wait and see which one has the best chance of beating Cashpool.

A difficult decision as many others have already said. I went for Fran because I feel this has been the season where we have really seen her potential.

Tricky choice - Ive voted for Lloyd and Julian so far as being ranked number 1 can only be beaten by winning more tournaments on their way to the top. However, I decided that my vote this time would go to the player(s) whom I least expected to achieve the ranking they reached at the end of the year and that is Fran. All credit to the other 4 final participants who have had excellent years, well worthy of top spot too.

Scores now

A long way to go and hopefully no more than half way through the votes to come in. Gap gets any bigger than 5 and it could be hard to pull back

Ok, thats me done!

Are we supposed to feel sorry for your jet setting lifestyle. Next you'll be telling us about poor service in your five star hotel?

Only joking of course - I'm just jealous and wish I was anywhere warmer than windy, rainy Littlehampton!!

ha - first overseas trip Ive had in 18 months so got to take advantage. Im only here 3 days, then Qatar properly for 3 and then home. Nice interlude and nice time of year to visit , not too hot!

Typical business hotel - Crowne Plaza. what struck me driving in the uber from the airport is how busy it is at 3 am - loads of people around walking or driving, put puts. Obligatory cow walking along pavement on its own, in a city of 7m people! Lively!
