Pleased to be waking up to this result as before the rain delay her level had dropped in the face of Osorio swinging at everything

Disappointed to hear she might get a bye in the next round as she needs a match or two

If Emma wins her QF match she is likely to meet 18 year old Iva Jovic WR30 in the SF. Emma would need to be playing at her best to get through that match.

There was a brilliant one two from Emma towards the end of the match. Emma hit a heavy backhand slice that landed right in the corner and curled away sending Osorio running wide, Emma was waiting for Osorio's cross court return and fired a forehand straight down the line for a winner, two precision shots with little margin for error.

Emma is 2nd on Centre court on Thursday after a 2am start so she is likely to be on around 3.30am.

Half expected that would be the outcome as in the first match (before the rain delay) she looked uninspired. And if you have that attitude against an Aussie, in Australia, then look-out
