Esther gets the win. Ruby a bit disappointing so far to be honest. The Latvian I've seen a few times and she's not great.

Zeltina is only 18, though, and rather up and down

She got up to JR 25

Her match with Ruby seems a reasonable quality, no?

Better than Tegan v Esther

Ruby's match was high level.
The Latvian has a very powerful game and everything Ruby was throwing at her came back

Some long rallies in that match, but Katy comes through in the end 5 & 4

Very impressed with Miss Blake, very easy win against a decent opponent.

A bit ridiculous, that Dodin is playing qualifying, yet is probably favourite to win the whole event.
Poor Mia is getting battered and she isnt playing badly

Indianna and Allegra are putting up a fight against their seeded opponents, losing their first sets and then taking the second.

Very nice win for Allegra

Enjoyed watching the end of that match as her opponent came unwound

Just three matches left to finish now, with Millie v Lily just starting the second set.

Allegra was very good.
Indianna threw the match away. She was so on top and was a break up in the first and third sets and was mentally weak and her body language was poor. She is such a ralented player.

Indy Spink has always lost games she should have won
But I don't agree with the 'such talent'.
She had huge help from the LTA - she is fully priced
And has a very good forehand, for sure
But still has serious movement problems, no forecourt game, and just let's things slip when it's not going 100% her way

Looking down the list of our unseeded players Allegra looked like one who might cause an upset, mainly because she is still 18 and was a top 50 junior, but then I looked at her opponent and decided a 600 place gap in the ranking would be too much to overcome. Allegra proved otherwise.
