That's me done now, although I might try and watch some livestream
A few thoughts
It is very early in the year, a lot of players are a bit rusty and are not yet at their levels
Esther - very impressed, significantly under ranked
Alicia - will be a top doubles player, singles ranking looks about right at the moment
Ranah - all the talent, but needs to go and play some lower level tournaments and learn how to win
Vic - talent is there, unpredictable due to technical issues
Emily App - hope she has a proper go at singles, she is much better than her ranking
Mika - looked rusty, but what I saw at the end of last year is that when she starts playing solid tennis, she is capable of breaking into the top 100. The LTA are throwing money as she has a travelling physio/s&c coach
Hannah - looks like she is having a proper go and has the potential to jump into the top 350 quite quickly.
Interesting to see some GB players had coaches with them, others didn't.
Esther always had a good serve - and that's improved even further at college
As has the rest of her tennis, which is great, but I've never been a real fan
However, reallu good that her, and Vic, and Alicia D, and Indy Spink, and maybe Sofia and Angie/Ellie, are all playing serious pro tennis now, and showing the value of the college route
£2 on Emily App at 5:1 to win the second set had come home nicely
Yaneva plays quite well, it's very solid, but it's always pretty playable
Emily needs to keep her first serve percentage up there, keep moving her feet, and not wobble and getting 'planted', when she's a bit tight, as she so often does.
