Yes! 7-6, 6-4, 6-1. Two truths exist - Coboli was unwell, and Arthur played brilliantly.

Great win for Arthur. Cobolli had an issue of some description (illness rather than injury) but Arthur took his opportunity really well and played well throughout. Entertaining match and a lot of Brits in.
Good stuff!

Very annoyed with Arthur. I'm on site at the AO today and tomorrow and after watching Sakkari polish off Jeanjean on Margaret Court I saw Arthur was 2 sets up and tried to fight my way through the crowds to John Cain to go and watch. And what does he do? Win the 3rd 6-1 before I get there so I don't get the chance to watch. Very inconsiderate of you Arthur....wink

My fav! What a win! Always seemed to be ahead and in control... poorly opponent maybe but still have to go win it! That's a huge win :) backs up R2 or Wimbledon minimum.

I just saw a ball girl collapse backwards in the Alexandrova - Sonmez match, try to get up and then thankfully a quick thinking Sonmez and the umpire had hold of her as her legs buckled a second time. Must be brutally hot conditions as usual.

On court for the Cam match. Thought Id get on early by arriving halfway through the Sonmez/Alexandrova match before. I underestimated the interest there would be but the Turkish contingent were in and very excited so had to queue for ages. Great match though.
Any way staying in my seat and Cam about to start.

From what I can tell, his qualies and round win results should take him to somewhere around 150-160 in the world, as things stand. Certainly British number 6.
