I feel some Ruby Tuesday jokes are in order

(Ranah's coaches should be afraid to look at themselves in the mirror - it's really poor - and, if what one is led to believe is true at the NTC, no one cares)

Just looking a Ranah's points. Full set of counters and three decent counters from a 50k, a 75k and a 15k which she won. Other than that she rareky won 2 matches in a row.

Time to drop back to 15ks and learn how to win regularly

 Yes, I agree

It might have been you who said that recently - or someone else - but it doesn't matter - both/all are right, IMO

She needs to do a stint at a European academy - it's time to shake things up - someone, somewhere, has to get her to move her feet, it can't be beyond the wit of man

And, yes, play some W15 events, win ugly, win well, whatever - but not have the excuse of the player being better ranked, take ownership of being the player to beat

Also Esther and Vic came pretty close to beating the top seeds, who are pretty experienced despite being only 24 and 23

Good win for Millie.
Ruby is a set up.
Katy in a real battle with the big-hitting left-hander. 5-4*

Well done to Millie who picks up a super win - I didn't see any of it but that's the best win on paper that she's had for a while and must feel very nice

Pity. I thought it would at least be close, and the wise betting company folk had her as a narrow outsider when I had a look, hoping for better odds.

It was a really topsy turvy final set.
Ruby was a break up, then broken twice and Ruby broke back when her opponent served for the match.

Ruby was well up in the third wasn't she?

Katy missed a match point at 6-5* second set.
