I presume she hasn't made the cut for either of the W1000s and she may think it's a good idea to get some more match time while she's in such good form. Also replacing a zero counter with 125 points would definitely help her ranking.
Oh lovely from Korpatsch saying Katie had a word with her after a bad defeat after injury. It meant a lot obviously. I suppose a side of pro tennis we dont often see.
Lets see how long it takes for the BBC to actually report that one of our leading players won a WTA250 today. Over half an hour and still counting. Tons of coverage on Emma within nanoseconds of her defeat, but IMO there appears to be a 2-tier reporting cycle: Emma and everyone else
