I was 95% sure Katy would win today (her playing well and comments yesterday re Stusek)

Very pleased for her

Katy plays Kuzmova next and my view on Kuzmova is she is very patchy and has spells when she hits winner after winner and then makes lots of UE's, so very inconsistent.
If Katy can hang in when Kuzmova is playing well, she wins as Katy is solid enough to take advantage when she has a bad run.

Millie is now into a third set and has an early break

 Yes, I agree

Kuzmova wasn't particularly impressive yesterday against Hannah - it wasn't chopped liver, of course, and there were definitely some purple patches where, for instance, she served a few bombs, one after the other, but it wasn't consistent, and there were quite a few weaknesses in her game too

(Hannah's tendency to get really cross when her opponent hits a service winner is daft - she gestures to her camp, what can I do, I can't break if she does that, cross sad face...... and then hits a second serve return miles out.... maybe concentrate on that second serve return, Hannah?)

Unfortunately, paulisi and I were both wrong

Katy came SO close in the second - but ended up losing quite easily in the third

Nicely, though, Millie looked down and out in the third-set TB (two points behind most of the way)

But showed good grit and took it by an absolute whisker
