Poor decision making costs Sonay a pretty soft break and Linette serves it out.

Shame, Sonay could have won that but another demonstration she's clearly a top 50 player.

Siniakova has taken out Tauson so would be Emma's next opponent.

Emma won 1st set ok but is starting to look ragged and tired. Looks like another three set match on the way with Osorio looking fresher.

Physio now called at start of 3rd set. Emma looks less than keen at this stage.

I'm sorry but all I saw after the first set was a betting opportunity.

I hope I lose.

Hmm, bet void. All together bad.

Hopefully the week off will now do Emma much good to be fitter and healthier going forward.

She didn't look good but I do think she doesn't seem to be able to get her overall conditioning correct. Of course she could be ill but after winning the first set quite well she just basically ran out of steam.

I suppose we need to look to that semi back in the Transylvania open. That was pretty brutal, physically. It is now I wish she had a very good experienced coach in her corner to pick her up and get her going again.

A little unfair given Cirstea and Boulter opted to withdraw from their respective tournaments and Boulters opponent wasn't entered into anything this week.

The tournament turn around was just too tight.

Emma played well in the first set, and very nearly took the second. I did think if it went to a decider though she just would not have enough in the tank. She was the superior player really but just not enough energy to get the win today. Such a shame.

Still surprised she chose to play, perhaps trying primarily to avoid a zero counter and secure a top 24 seeding for IW?
