It was a tight first set but Stusek was a little more nimble, and used her angles well

But Katy Dunne beat Stusek recently in three sets, so allez, Millie, it's still game on !

Unfortunately, Millie just made error after error, always half a step slow, and was 1-5 down in the blink of an eye

After that, she suddenly started to put some points together but it was too late

Julia Stusek is a brittle sort of player (maybe age, maybe just her). Emily Appleton thrashed her in January, really impsed herself on her. And Katy ground her down, made her doubt, and then give up.

But Millie unfortunately made to too easy for her, and lost 4-6 2-6

I can see Millie having a choice soon to push on in doubles and limit her singles or stay at 50/75k singles and playing both.

Shhh, don't tempt fate. She lost one of the breaks, then the other to make it 5-5*. A break to love followed by a hold gave Katy the set 7-5.
Could have been better though, she has taken just 3 out of 10 break points.
