Boys & Girls: J100 Loughborough, GB - hard (Week 9)

GIRLS

Firstly, I note that Alisha Ndukwu has changed tennis flags and is now playing for Poland (I believe her mother is Polish, so that's the connection, and I assume the LTA haven't offered her the desired level of support - she's very promising in terms of her ranking, but it's true that it has almost all been garnered in low-ranking events in Africa)

Several of our top players have also got tricky draws

Grace Watson, for instance, has drawn the second seed, and Milica Milojevic has drawn the 3rd seed (Haniya Minhas, the girl from Saudi (previously from Pakistan), with the long back story, as previously reported)

Wildcards have gone to Bella Rebel (who's drawn the top seed !), Leah Bush, Tanishka Naveen and Milica

Qualifiers include:  ShravantiVenkatakrishnan, Sophie Johnstone, and Celine Ricaud

April Sackflame is in the draw, which is interesting

We also have two 16R players (Daisy Wootton and AwenGwilym-Davies)

Haniya is now based in Hampshire and is playing LTA national and regional tournaments to build up an LTA rating (semi finalist in Brit Tour last week and has won the grade 3s she entered) I think we might see a change of flag there too
