Nice try Katie. Muchova is such a good player, I enjoy watching her, and she was very quick to expose Katie's backhand - plus she was able to move the ball into places that just eliminated Katie's ability to get time and a real smack at the forehand. Still been a good week, and she absolutely wasn't miles away.

Good match. Katies groundstrokes are world quality, but she needs to be in position to execute them, and her movement lets her down a bit. Hope Joyce is working on that. Muchova is world class, potential grand slam winner, and no shame in that performance.
I enjoyed that match, there were some quality shots from both players. I thought Katie was undone by Muchovas second serve, which was so crafty! That running forehand from Katie in the first set and the way she stretched and reached a forehand volley (even brought applause from Muchova) seems that her movement is improving. When she ventures to the net she could play some great volleys. A lot for her team to take from that match. Overall a decent match CD.
Just for the record, Muchova( Katies last opponent) made light work of Alex Eala, 6-0, 6-2.Maybe puts KBs defeat in a slightly different light.
Interesting though it was already being looked at in very decent light, including by yourself. I'm very hopeful for Katie in the coming months ( OK, clay may be challenging for her but certainly beyond that ).

Yes Indy, I am a big Katie supporter! I have to say I havent watched Muchova a lot, although some on another forum have claimed she could lift a slam before she is done, if she can put the injuries behind her.

I think when Katie moved up the rankings 2 years ago a lot of that was due to a big improvement in her mobility.
