Anyone else get that from their phone, and why does it happen and can it be overcome?
Yes it happens to me. It doesnt bother me particularly but I know some people like the grammar to be spot on. Hopefully people realise this rather than assume Im being sloppy deliberately.
Glad Im not alone!
I cant imagine anyone on this board works for the grammar police, surely? Haha
More offenders of the over-use of apostrophes, than under-use, I'd say :)
When people talk about WC's, or 1980's, or MTO's, etc etc

Just to add to this thread, Jodie has just posted she is back on court at the NTC and should be back in competition in a few weeks. Another one in the mix?
Just a reminder - from the equivalent thread in the men's section - as posted by Indi.
MD entry ranking date is 18/05 and Q date 25/05.
So almost there ..........
Could Fran have lost her chance of a main draw DA then - she is live 104 (obviously withdrawals could and will happen?)
Last year WR99 was the last direct entry, including 5 with SR in the 104 places (as per the 25/06/2025 official entry list). So borderline, but in with a good chance if there are withdrawals.
The qualifying list from 26/05/2025 has the last direct entry at 220
Edited to add qualifying

Is Sloane Stephens playing with a protected ranking just wondering if she would ask for WC otherwards as a Grand Slam Champ.
I'm not certain, but I think her SR might be 119 from March 2025 - she didn't play again until September 2025. A lot of her entries since then have been on a WC.
Fran Jones is first alternate for the main draw at RG with an entry ranking of 103. So I would think she is right on the border for Wimbledon, but will get in.
Katie putting herself in contention by moving into the top 230 at worst after this week.
I'm confident she will get one, she deserves it. She's had a few bumps over the last 6 months with her back but she has managed to play enough to be on the cusp of top 200 and will almost certainly be well inside top 200 by the time Wimbledon starts.

She is in. Entry List on RG website has the Entry List closing on 104 so she is the last but one in.
