QF: Fausto Tabacco & Giorgio Tabacco (ITA/ITA) CR 1270 (705+565) defeated Rhys Lawlor & Henry Searle CR 3427 (2241+1186) by 4-6 6-3 [11-9]
Tabacco & Tabacco (brothers, but not twins) went on to lose to the two Yanks, Jones & Jones (both Californians, but unrelated, so far as I can tell) in the semis.
SF: (3) Henry Searle WR 493 defeated (1) Robin Bertrand (FRA) WR 288 by 7-5 6-1
****
Final: (3) Henry Searle WR 493 vs (7) Jan Kumstat (CZE) WR 642 (age 19 - I was going to say also but actually Henry turned 20 today!)
Henry has the first set, 6-2
Yes, brilliant and I thought he wa wobbling a bit in that last game, but Yay..... fingers crossed he takes the next and achieves his first tournament win at senior level finally.
Clearly Henry has taken note of me being so underwhelmed by his last year or so in the Wimbledon WC thread and other places, and that has helped him here
Feels about time for the now 20 yo.
Overall a really good GB men's ITF title week with 3 singles titles and 3 doubles titles.

I was interested to note in the recent article about Liam B that Evo has been mentoring Henry. Hopefully he's been advising him not to make the same mistakes that he made at a similar age....
