 Yes, I agree - I think the risk with Ranah, say, is exactly that - not a lack of tennis ability, but a lack of targeted framework to make it happen - although a fair bit of that is down to her, she seems so laid back on court, I don't know if that's demeanour or she's just 'chill' - I don't think she really has huge support at high level but it's hardly chopped liver.  

But if we're just talking about breaking out of paulisi's 350-600 group, I think it will happen, no matter what (as said, illness/personal crises/injury/whatever aside). How far out of 350 is the bit that's, bottom line, down to her.

Emily's a curious case.....

Alicia is entered for the W75 in Calvi, Corsica in week 14 and is currently 11th in qualifying. So moving up the levels.

I remember watching Emily at Chiswick pre-pandemic on two occasions and there were at least four from the LTA watching every move, including he-who-must-not-be-named.

Those two W15 wins of Alicia's should move her up to where she would get seeded in W35 events.

 Yes, but as you have to enter in advance, they will not be on the acceptance list for another month.

 She is on the list for a W75 next week, a W50 the week after and then maybe Roehampton or a W35 depending on how she does in the higher ranked events. Instead of dropping back to W15s again she could try her hand as a seeded player in a W35.
