You always felt that he had to get it done in two

But George lost the second set TB 7-6(5)

And then the third set was a lot easier for the 7th seed

Well done Jay, phew that someone progressed. Molcan will be tough as evidenced by beating Billy. Not sure Jay will get much further but you never know!!

Clay certainly wasn't Billy's thing last year when with an appealing window to make the top 100 he played the clay season and replaced not a lot in terms od ranking points with not a lot, so didn't make that breakthrough then and hasn't really had a sniff since.

Hopefully this year, persistently giving it another go, he will over the weeks replace not a lot with a bit more.

Jay does inspire more confidence on the surface so let's hope for more here.
