Sorry to go missing in action as the poll drew to a close last night - life has had a habit of getting in the way recently.

Good to see a competitive vote. Voting numbers still substantially down on past years (lowest for first 3 months of year overall since 2021

2021 - 29.33 average Jan to Mar
2022 - 38.33
2023 - 42.67
2024 - 46.67
2025 - 37.33
2026 - 32.00

I guess the membership of the board has ebbed and flowed a bit over that time, and a core of us still enjoy and get value out of these votes. I for one am pushing on for the rest of this season for sure, lots of good tennis to come and lots of good voting to take place. However, we only get around a quarter to one third of visitors to the board taking part in the PoM votes - 108 members visited whilst the poll was open, 32 voted. Everyone has a choice of course and cannot be made to vote, that is fine. But if there are any ideas on how to make them more appealing to voters, attract voters, then I am very much open to those ideas. Getting back a few of those 14 voters extra in 2024 would certainly be nice in making the vote more representative.

Anyway, I will certainly listen to ideas - I do think that having the vote in the general section added a few votes in the past as people would stumble over it and vote; whereas having its own section probably makes it easier to avoid for those not actively looking to participate! At the same time, if those voting are the genuinely keen core, that is also isn't a bad thing in terms of having a genuine vote!!

Onwards into April and the first clay month of the season!
