 3h 7m battle! Eliz won the first from 2-5 down. She has now reached the quarters (at least) in both Monastir events having had to come through qualifying. Great to see her transferring her excellent uni form to ITF events. Should soon (if not already) be back in the top 1000.

She's now live-ranked 1066 on 16 points (which doesn't include this week). Three points from this week (so far) would take her into a large group of players on 19 points (ranked 1005 to 1021) so needs another win to break the 1000 mark. Or she could pick up the point at Roehampton next week in the W50 (1 point for reaching the FQR) .............

Very good to see though Eliz was ranked as high as WR 371 in 2023, a measure of her capabilities when fully focussed and at her best..
