Well done Cam! I hadn't realised he was playing! Oops.

19 yo Jodar (JCH = 4) is the strong betting favourite. 4/11 as against Cam 11/5.

Jodar thrashed Cam in Acapulco just 2 months ago, 3 and 2. And on clay, in Spain, I guess he probabky justifies that backing!

To balance it, tennis abstract sees it even, Cam v slight favourite

I also see that Jodar won the Marrakech 250 title on clay in the first week of this month. He certainly looks the favourite to me but I've been tempted for a wee punt on Cam at these odds.

Yes, I did the same yesterday smile

I know Jodar won the 250. And beat Cam in early March.

But, for me, Jodar was more a hard court player as a junior (won the US Open, didn't do much a RG)

And, in a very short-term timeframe, people are often well too opimistic about up-and-coming youngsters

So, yes, even if Cam loses, the odds are wrong; and there's a good chance you'll be able to get out at a profit at some time in the match, even if he loses in the end

Allez, Cam !

The cash out offer is not too appealing at this point.

3-6 2-5*

Interesting.  I see that Alcaraz gave Machac a walkover into the quarters.

Noticed Carlos is out of Madrid with Novak. Wonder if anyone else will withdraw?

Had you forgotten that Djoko's first name was Novak?  I took Var's post to mean that both he & Carlitos had.

Tbh I missed the reference to Novak as I misread it.
