Was Lleyton annoying? Feisty, in your face, Aussie. Not sure I ever saw him as annoying though. Like Agassi of the same time period, maybe it was in the eye of the beholder. I was Agassis biggest fan, so maybe I just liked that sort of baseline counterpuncher style of the time.

It's purely a personal/personality thing, just like Marmite: he irritated the hell out of me, as did the spelling of his first name, though of course, his parents are to blame for that, just as he's to blame for calling his son Cruz! That said, I can't deny that he was a real, never-say-die fighter. A friend & I used to refer to him as "the Aussie Scrapper". There's no accounting for taste.
