Actually she seems to have been promoted to 9th seed as Vondrousova has pulled out.  It still means Katie gets a Q/LL

Qualifying over, and Katie avoids Xinyu Wang WR32 (not sure why she was in qualifying)

L32:- Katie Boulter (GBR) WR62 v Maria Timofeeva (UZB) WR153 [Q5]

I dont understand that either TA. If Katies wins she faces J Cristian WR 33, seeded 3?

Wang didn't enter the main draw, she only entered qualies, and wasn't given a wildcard.

Wang must have missed the entry deadline for the MD.

Probably forgot to enter the main draw and missed the deadline, so could ony play qualies.

She wasnt very happy in the post match interview. Said she thought she played a better level of match last week against Ruse who was in good form as she made the semis in Linz. Katie was better in the second set though. Tougher tests to come.

L16:- Katie Boulter (GBR) WR64 v Jaqueline Christian (ROU) WR33 [3]

Christian struggled to beat Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah, coming from 0-4 down in the decider (might have been even more, but that was the score when I started watching)
She also lost tTiantsoa in the second round here last year.

Yes, after dropping the first set 2-6, Christian faced a total of 3 MPs at *3-5 in Set 2 and a futher MP in a TB, then in Set 3 was 0-4* down as you say and did face a point for *0-5, then *2-5 down before ultimately taking Set 3 by 7-5.
