Charles has added a further 6 points by reaching the SF in Wuning. Now showing as live ranked 232 on 238 points. A SF win would, as things stand now, have him at live ranked 224 ( 225 if Liam wins ) on 249 points. Might prove very useful.
Liam is a set up in Busan but play has been abandoned for the day so for now he is showing as live ranked 233 on 236 points. If he goes on to win that QF match he will add a further 19 points ( good points in a Challenger 125 ) and be up to what shows as being live ranked 219 on 255 points, i.e. just ahead of Oliver and Harry and presumably like them job then done.
I don't think this will make a huge difference but last year all eight MD wildcards came from players who otherwise would have been in qualis - i.e. 8 places in qualis were freed up
(this covers both the French wildcards, and Stan, and the US reciprocal one)
It'll probably be broadly similar this year - it's already announced that Stan is getting another one this year, as is Gael (both are in quali draw rankings, so that frees up 2 spaces)
But....Moise Kouame, for instance, has a very good chance of a MD WC - I bet he'll get one - and he's well outside quali rankings
However, he's almost certainly the only one, so it won't make a huge difference
Just double checking initial q cutoff was 219 and final was 234 last year.
With just a reminder of these cut-off marks from last year, after Liam's tight QF win and Charles' even tighter SF loss, the live rankings for Monday are currently showing as:
Main draw cut off was 103. I think the next 119 get into qualifying which would be 222, obviously a few PR might be in use, unsure. Then I think someone further noted that at least 7 of the MD WCs would likely be to players in the Q positions. Not sure when we might get sight of the Q list.

Looks likely, therefore, we will have:
Main draw:
Cam and Jake main draw (Jake snuck in by timing his ranking drop a week late!)
Jack - possibly main draw, injury dependent
Qualies
Jan - tick
JPJ - tick (has a couple of warm ups lined up)
Billy - tick
Toby - tick
Arthur - tick
Evo - no idea?!
Jay - tick
Liam - tick
Oli - probably
Harry - probably
Felix - possibly
Charles - touch and go
So most likely 9 or 10 in, possibly 11, outside bet 12
Just hope they've all overcome their injuries, but an incredible list.
There were times in the early days of this forum in the late 2000s, when it was just Andy in the main draw, Boggo in the qualies, and that was that on the men's side.
