Super job from young Ophelia

6-4 6-2

Parents have obviously spent a huge fortune on their children's tennis. Not really LTA products.

(I think their coach is Czech, like the mum- quite interesting how many foreign languages there were during the Nationals)

Now the money isn't a huge problem, I assume, given the mum's job, and dad's too

But they've certainly got value for money insofar as all three girls (and I assume sonny Jim too) play technically very correct tennis - it's wonderfully grounded - and have great athleticism - there are hours and hours and hours behind their games - and Mr Czech trainer probably is pretty exacting

really thrilled for Leticia

Always had a soft spot for her - saw her quite alot when younger, and her mum and her always seemed very much on the sidelines, very quiet, no fancy tennis bags, no bling....

And Ana was having such a hard time with Leticia's serve - not quite sure why - she was serving well but not off the scale -Ana just could barely get the ball back

Grea job

Cute that the two juniors will now play against each other in the FQR for 2 points and a place in the MD

According to the ITF entry list Eliana was a late withdrawal yesterday.

 Good spot

And likely that Esther is in as of right too

Ozipka has disappeared from the quali draw - so presumably there's been a witthdrawal (or two) in the MD

So Esther will be in

Don't know if the Q1 spot will be filled. Presumably no re-draw.

Dittman withdrew from the main draw yesterday, which explains one slot plus the two SE's - but not the additional one which would let Otzipka in. Perhaps they are only awarding three wild cards ?
